Hot off the heels of the groundbreaking seventh and final season of The Clone Wars, Disney has commissioned Star Wars: The Bad Batch, an all new animated show from Lucasfilm, scheduled to premiere in 2021.

The show will follow the adventures of the Bad Batch, a group of unique and experimental clones, as “they find their way in a rapidly changing galaxy in the immediate aftermath of the Clone War.” Moreover, these clones “will take on daring mercenary missions as they struggle to stay afloat and find new purpose.”

With members Hunter, Crosshair, Tech, Wrecker, and new addition Echo, The Bad Batch consists of clones with unique and enhanced abilities that vary from Clone to Clone. Also known as Clone Force 99, they were first introduced in the final season of The Clone Wars, which premiered in February. These unique abilities will surely come in handy as the group goes on dangerous missions in a changed galaxy now controlled by the Galactic Empire.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch will be executive produced by Dave Filoni of The Mandalorian and Star Wars: The Clone Wars, with Brad Rau, who worked on Star Wars Rebels and Resistance, as supervising director. Jennifer Corbett, also a Star Wars Resistance alum, will serve as the head writer.
